Participation in the SWISS and Zurich competition is free of charge and independent of any purchase or the utilisation of such services as are subject to a charge. The entrant (referred to in the following as "entrant") is not entering into any contractual or other legal obligations towards Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. (SWISS) and Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (Zurich) or other third parties. The competition is open to any individuals who are of age and legally competent, resident in Switzerland or Liechtenstein (but not to staff of SWISS or the Zurich Insurance Group, their subsidiaries or general agencies of Zurich). The closing date is 30 April 2018. Zurich will notify the winners in writing or by phone by 4 May 2018. By participating in the competition, entrants declare their acceptance of the competition rules.
1. Data Protection
SWISS and Zurich confirm that personal details (including email addresses, names, addresses etc.) of the entrant will not be passed on to any third parties by SWISS or Zurich nor provide them for their use. One exception is in the event of a win, in which case the participant agrees specifically that SWISS and Zurich may publish their name and the name of the town where they live. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to their email address being stored and used by SWISS and Zurich for statistical purposes and their own advertising purposes. The entrant may cancel the data processing at any time. Details are contained in the SWISS Data Protection Declaration.
2. Payout
There is no legal entitlement to the prize, and no cash alternative will be given. SWISS and Zurich reserve the right to check the entrants' details for correctness when issuing the prizes. SWISS and Zurich will not be liable in the event of non-allocation of the prizes for reasons over which they have no influence (incomplete or incorrect address for winners), the quality of third-party services or their failure (cancellation of the competition, cancellation of the flight etc.). No replacement services or compensation will be provided. Prizes cannot be transferred to another person. Exceptionally, a prize may be given to a third person with the prior agreement of SWISS and Zurich if a winner is unable to accept the prize themselves. There will be no further consideration in the event of the prize being passed on. The prize may not be disposed of in return for payment; even the attempt to do so will result in (retrospective) disqualification of the winner and withdrawal or recall of the prize. The prize will automatically be sent by SWISS and Zurich to the address provided. The risk associated with the prize is thereby transferred to the winner. Any tax due on the prize is the responsibility of the winner himself. The period of validity cannot be extended.
3. Disqualification from the competition
SWISS and Zurich are entitled to exclude individual entrants from the competition if justified reasons exist, such as the violation of the terms and conditions of entrance, influencing the competition, manipulation etc. Entrants who are entered automatically, i.e. by robots or other technical means, will also be disqualified from the competition.
4. Legal action
No correspondence will be entered into. The judges' decision is final. There is no legally enforceable right to transfer, payment in cash or exchange of the prizes. Swiss law applies exclusively.
5. Amendment of the entry conditions and termination of the competition
SWISS and Zurich reserve the right to change the competition rules at any time. Moreover, SWISS and Zurich reserve the right to terminate or interrupt the competition at any time. This applies in particular in the event of any reasons that would disrupt or prevent the scheduled course of the competition.
6. Limitation of liability
Insofar as this is permitted in law, no liability whatsoever will be assumed by SWISS or Zurich.
7. Transfer of all rights to photos, images and/or films about you and waiver of personal rights
You hereby transfer irrevocably any and all rights, in particular rights of use and exploitation, to the photos, pictures and/or films about you and your companion(s) to SWISS and Zurich. SWISS and Zurich are authorised to use, apply and utilise said photos, pictures and/or films in any media for any purposes, in particular for advertising and marketing measures, unrestrictedly. You hereby waive irrevocable any personal rights against SWISS and Zurich with regard to the above photos, pictures and/or films.
